I chose these four shots for my landscaping. The tree is on a walking path where I work, which I couldn't resist taking a picture of. The sky is the other night after the storm, I actually drove up the hill to take that shot in the road (watch for cars, folks!) The gondola shot I was riding in it, and kind of crouching down so I could get the shot. I like how it came out with the posts in a row, but couldn't quite get rid of the lighting glare with the sun.
Excellent work! In spite of the glare, from the gondola, the shot is excellent. It is really well composed and has excellent foreground, middleground and background qualities. In order to get rid of the glare you may have to shroud the camera with a jacket or a shirt and get closer to the glass. I really like the photograph with the dog. Almost 2/3 of the images taken up with the grass, which has great texture and then the top has this interesting pattern of rectangles and squares that emphasize the dog because of it being completely different than anything else in the photo. If you have a chance, go back and photograph that tree but use the rule of thirds and I think he'll find you have a much more interesting shot. Early morning or late afternoon is best. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteI really love the gondola shot. It makes use of the lines of the poles, the cords, and the horizon. It's incredibly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe photograph of the sky is breath taking! As is the gondola shots, the gondola provides great depth and draws you to the mountain line. Great work!
ReplyDeleteI love the second shot, I love the way the light looks like it is shinning up from the ground.
ReplyDeleteYour first photo is a great monochrome shot. It is also a unique tree. Your second shot is breathtaking! You captured the essence of the sunset. I would call this photo "fire in the sky". The Gondola photo is a great shot. Were you behind glass? I wonder if that was messing with the lighting. The lineage of the shot is great and then you see the mountains rolling in the distance. Cool photos!
